Thursday and Friday were slow days around the office. Surprisingly slow considering we are fast approaching the season. I spent a lot of time in personal studies regarding stadium construction for a paper I would like to write. This took up a lot of my "down time". But it was not all down time, because as we approach the season, there are a lot of tickets we need to get to our partners. I had to deliver tickets to partners with Crown Automotive, All Childrens Hospital, the Tampa Bay Times, and Duke Energy. These partners all received tickets, either their season tickets or complimentary Opening Day tickets and all with whom I spoke were very happy to receive them.
As Friday came to an end, I walked through the stadium with Jake to check up on the signage but really it was to kill time he said. The stadium is coming more and more together, with signs and decor up for Opening Day and last-minute painting and presentation being done with one week to go. The season is nearly upon us. Kim and I know our gameday duties but at the same time are completely in the dark. Opening Day is a Monday at 3 pm so we will be caught off-guard with the timing of it all. Of course it's a full house too, so it will be a shock to the system for those of us used to this big old building being quiet and empty to see it rocking and full.
