The Rays held their first offical Rays Watch Party of the season as the Rays played the first road games of the year Friday in Miami. Our watch party was at a local Quaker Steak and Lube sponsored by our friends at MillerCoors. It was a great turnout and the fans in attendance were treated to fun, games, prizes, and a very exciting, back-and-forth game. The Rays came back from an 8-1 deficit to tie the Marlins, then came back from 9-8 only to lose 10-9 in 10 innings. It was fabulous for Rays fans to at least hang on every pitch and cheer their team on to the very end.
I attended mostly as a fan but several of my coworkers were there in more formal roles so I got to enjoy their company and help where I could. It was a great way to unwind from a long week but still tow the company line.
