The last week of March has been ramping up as we get closer to Opening Day.

Monday, we got a task of taking the department's inventory of season tickets and dividing them out of their binding into individual games and putting this into envelopes. Very tedious work but it makes a world of difference when it comes time to give them out to friends and colleagues as well as potential partners.
Later, I got to go back and see my friend, the man that works the front desk at the Tampa Bay Times. He's always so chipper. This time, I had to deliver 408 autographed baseballs to them per their partnership. It's no small feat delivering such a load only a few miles away. I did however manage it in a short time and my friend the security guard was so excited as usual to help.
We also began a project working with Tom Breslin in Groups & Suites take care of a mailing project for Hillsborough County Schools Spirit Night where we invite school kids to sell tickets to a specific game and attend. It becomes a contest because high sellers get Rays prizes. This process was very tedious but it was cool and I met a couple new people.
Towards the end of the day, i went wandering with Jake to check the Press Box Suite for some artwork that needs replacing. That end of the part is clear across the stadium from our offices, so it requires a little sojourning. Wandering this park is one of my favorite things to do.

Tuesday was more of the same from Monday, as we get closer and closer to game action.
I started the day finishing ripping those tickets for our inventory for Carmella.
We had to continue with the Spirit Night project downstairs at some point but we had actual meetings to attend to first. We met with our interdepartmental colleagues for our weekly meeting. That's always a good time. Then after lunch, we met with the Homestand Meeting team from all over the office regarding the opening homestand! I like these meetings but I fear that by mid-season they will seem never-ending. This meeting, we got to hear about all the new stuff around the team and stadium for 2015. It was a good time.
At one point, Kim and I went to the Tropicana Suite to retrieve some artwork that apparently belongs to Tropicana. This too required a trek across the park and then a trek back with heavy artwork.
I ended up staying late to finish one pile of the inventory tickets we needed to separate out. I just couldn't leave them for yet another morning considering they need to get done and I have no one to go home to.
