Monday and Tuesday were mostly filled with tasks and meetings. While no one thing was very crucial, everything was important work.
I delivered some mail, I organized some parking passes, I ran some errands. Nothing too interesting.
The big task Monday was to run to Crown Eurocars here in St. Pete and pick up 25-some boxes of giveaway prizes for Crown;s in-game promotions. This would have been fine except that's a lot of boxes for one person but two trips is kind of unnecessary. We reasoned that both of us going together in two cars would alleviate the issue and get the job done. So Crown Eurocars is not far away but getting anywhere in St. Pete is not easy. We got there to find out that we could fit not all the boxes in our two cars, but most of them. Actually, ALL BUT ONE BOX. So I volunteered to come back with my carload, empty it, bring it up 4 stories, drop it off, go back down and go back to Crown Eurocars for ONE BOX. #glamorous
We had meetings and calls every time we turned around. We had our usual Tuesday interdepartmental meeting, we had a meeting regarding gameday communications, we met with Chris B. about gameday photography, and most importantly I had a call with Sean with Majestic concerning National Jersey Day. As you might remember discussed prior, National Jersey Day is a day for each MLB to celebrate their brand, their colors, their fans, and their partnership with Majestic as they launch their new Cool Base jersey. After Sean and I sat in on the call and talked with the people at Majestic's agency about further details, he told me that he wants me to take the reins on this one and make it my own! How exciting! I told him I had some ideas already and was happy to do whatever it took to make this a successful promotion.
